Pitt Ganza 2008 Update - June 01, 2008SINOVI OF CHICAGO TO PLAY DESSERT CRUISE We are pleased to announce that Sinovi of Chicago will be performing for your entertainment on the Dessert Cruise. As previously announced, we will sail the 3-Rivers on Thursday, September 25 aboard one of the Gateway Clipper vessels. Be sure to leave room for dessert after your dinner though, because this ship will be well-stocked with treats. The menu will consist of Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake, Lemon Chantilly Cake, Cappuccino Cake, White Raspberry Mousse Cake, Creamy Fifth Avenue Cheese Cake, and Assorted Petit Fours. Assorted teas and coffees will also be available. For those who prefer something a little stronger, please be sure to visit one of the fully-stocked cash bars. The boat will be docked just a short distance from the front of our hotel and will begin boarding promptly at 7:30pm. The cruise itself will be from 8 - 9:30pm at which time you can return to the hotel where the Welcome Dance will have already started. PRICE INFORMATION FOR PACKAGES AND ACTIVITIES We have received several requests for how to find out what the prices are for packages or tours. To find this information, simply begin the registration process on our website HERE. You are required to enter some data prior to viewing the prices, but you can cancel out of the reservation process at any time without being charged. Actually, we are not accepting credit cards for the registration process so there should be no concern over anything being billed to you unintentionally. At the end of the registration process, you are prompted with instructions on where to send your check which will then fully register you for the Extravaganza. The deadline for reservations will be Friday, September 5 if you are ordering a package or merchandise. Tickets to individual events will be available at the hotel. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT CERTAIN EVENTS AND THE GANZA CLUB PACKAGES HAVE LIMITED AVAILABILITY AND ARE OFFERED ON A FIRST COME BASIS. To ensure your spot, please register early. FOUNDER'S AWARD HONOREES ANNOUNCED The Lou Cavic Founder's Award is presented each year to a young person who demonstrates an outstanding devotion to the preservation of tambura music and the Slavic culture. This year we are pleased to announce that there are two awardees: Brock Belich and Steve Capuzzi. Be sure to join us at the banquet Saturday evening to celebrate the accomplishments of these two young men. If you would like to reserve space in the souvenir booklet to congratulate these two or any of our other nominees, please keep in mind ads must be placed by August 15. You may purchase an ad simply by sending it to us via e-mail or regular U.S. mail. We prefer camera-ready art, but we can also produce an ad using instructions that you provide.
